PA Krav Camp 2020 Courses

Dynamic Pistol: BK

(3-hours): maximum students: 10

This course will teach participants to survive the initial moments of a gun battle. Using the principles of Israel Point Shoot, officers will learn to FIGHT with their firearms at close proximity. This class will include stress inoculation drills and emphasize aggressive response to violent and life treating events. This is a physically demanding class.

Equipment needed:

Eye and ear protection -400 round in your pistol’s caliber -Pistol +three magazines in appropriate carriers/holster. 

Weapon retention tactics: BK

(1.5 hours): maximum students: 16

There is arguably no greater liability for those who carry a firearm for self-defense than losing that firearm to an ill intending individual.

Join us to learn how to carry and retain your firearm to assure you don't lose it, and so that you never become the victim on your own handgun.

Equipment needed:

If you carry a handgun bring the holster you typically carry your pistol in AND your pistol.  DO NOT BRING AMMUNITION TO THE CLASS.  All weapons will be checked and cleared for safety.

This class is open to all levels.  Learn the principles of safe and efficient handcuffing.

A grappling centric class for practical self defense and competitive grappling based around effective take downs from disadvantaged positions with a direct path to top control, restraint, and/or submission opportunities. As well as counters to common take downs to keep you on your feet and in control. Great for the self defense practitioner, competitive grappler, or law enforcement. 

Weapons Retention/Close quarters fighting: Derrick Kennington

Utilizing Muay Thai, Wrestling, and BJJ. Close quarters fighting or clinch fighting is an Art in and of itself. Obstacles such as walls can be used to pin or protect yourself in a close quarter combat situation

Feet to Fight: Derrick Kennington

We will be utilizing BJJ and MMA techniques to get back to your feet in order to fight armed or unarmed.

Knife Combat

(3 hours) Kni-Com is a program of instruction (POI) which utilizes principles, techniques, and tactics from Western military schools of knife combat. It is based on the reality of a violent knife attack and the body’s natural reaction to it.

Building striking power and striking velocity. You can expect mobility drills, core strengthening, and rotational drills to increase speed and power without repetitive striking.

Clinch Combatives: Entrance and Control

This class will bridge the gap between striking and grappling with a range of techniques that teach closing the distance, establishing proper clinch grips, and using the clinch to control the opponent 

Prerequisites should include basic striking fundamentals such as fighting stance and balance, basic footwork, and basic punch mechanics (straights vs hooks)

Clinch Combatives: Offensive striking and Grappling: Matt DeVito

This class builds on the first by using the clinch control to explore various striking and grappling combative options

Prerequisites should include Clinch Combatives Class 1. Basic striking fundamentals such as fighting stance, basic footwork, and basic punch mechanics (straights vs hooks). Students are still welcome to do class 2 without class 1 however I will not have time to review grabbing and holding the clinch so they either need to have that knowledge already or be able to keep up quickly.

Armbars and escapes and Kimura attacks! Paul Jaxon and Steve Bowers

Fundamentals of basic submissions and escapes in BJJ.  No experience needed.

Dynamic and Explosive Striking from the Ground: Todd Peters

When forced with fighting on the ground, creating dynamic, explosive striking is a must.

High repetition handgun fundamentals: Doug Stafflebach

Handgun fundamentals class designed to improve accuracy and timing.

Concealed Carry: Doug Stafflebach

Ideal class for anyone who carries concealed.  Develop skills for everything before the bang.

Skills covered will be shooting from a variety of kneeling and seated positions as well as prone and moving between them to engage targets.
